New York City

2025

When I received a call last year from a friend inviting me to join his group for a trip to New York during the Christmas holidays, I didn't think twice. Partly because I felt like I had left something unfinished on my last trip, and partly because 'Christmas in New York' sounds a bit like the title of a movie... you understand that I couldn't pass up the chance to see the Big Apple in such a magical light.

New York presented itself as unique as always, with so many contrasts, between the Christmas lights of Rockefeller Center and the enormous problems of social decay that have been characterizing the United States lately and which are clearly visible as soon as you move away even slightly from a more central area... I must say that this situation, certainly more evident than just a few months before, strongly affected me and took away some of the magic I was expecting, but despite everything, it was as usual a wonderful experience.

From the skaters in Central Park to the neighborhood of Christmas lights in Dyker Heights, even at Christmas, New York offers an unforgettable experience. I hope you like my photos and that they do it at least a little bit of justice!
